Em turned 12 yesterday. We celebrated after she got home from ballet with her favorite, Fettucini! It's a cold time for birthdays, but Em says that winter is one of her favorite times of year.Sunset is around 4:30-5:00. It's been so cold that the snow hasn't been melting, which is kind of strange as it's usually gone in a few days. Clumps of snow are clinging to the apple tree that is trying to relocate into our back yard. It's leaning over the back fence (much to Squirrely's delight during the fall, when he helps to find the fallen apples. "Treat?")
Today's an early day from school! Maybe we will make some snowflakes for the windows! (To go with the ice cycles)
