Osprey Night

Eric found out about a Division of Wildlife guided lecture on finding Osprey (wiki or pic) in the wild. We started at Rockport Reservoir in Peoa, then went thru Coalville and past Echo Reservoir. Osprey are fishing birds of prey who spend their summers in Utah.

Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-135)

Eric, Emily and Jennifer met in Florida to attend the launch of the space shuttle Atlantis (STS-135). Eric shared the video see below - skip to 4:38 to see the shuttle launch!

 

The second video is from NASA's coverage. Did you watch the launch? Where were you? I was at work. IT displayed the launch (muted) on a big screen so I was able to get the story play-by-play from NASA tweets.

Baby Birds

There are baby birds in the eaves of the garage. You can hear them chirping during the day. Eric got a picture of them last weekend. They're still kind of in their turkey vulture stage... guess we all have days like that, but they're kind of cute too! Look at the fuzzy down on their heads!

Cars 2 the Video Game

Cars 2 is coming to theaters June 24th. You may have already known that, but if not, here's the trailer...

Eric was finally able to share a link about Cars 2 the video game coming soon from the Disney Interactive Media Group (DIMG).

If you've been anywhere around Eric, well--ever, you've probably raced him, er-Mario, Yoshi and the princess in a few laps of Mario Kart or maybe you tried desert Pod racing? I've played Tron, Excite Bike, Pole Position, F Zero, etc. I've been "lapped" many times. Want to know more about the new Cars 2 Video Game? Check out this video:

Art Exhibit: Em's Watercolors

This afternoon Eric and I were invited to attend an exhibit for Emily's watercolor class. Each student had a few paintings on display. I think the art room had never looked better! These particular watercolor paintings were from Emily's display.
