The hollyhocks are blooming by the garage.

{ P.S. Sunflower Update: the rest of the sunflowers are starting to open. }
{ P.P.S. The crepes turned out greasy - sigh. Better Homes & Gardens has a good recipe I'll stick to. No offense Julia, Simone, and Louisette! }

I had to tie up my sunflowers because they wind is pushing them over- I don't think they were planted deep enough. I have an odd variety and the mostly face someone else's yard. I am hoping they still have time to bloom the rest of the way. This cooler summer has been wonderful, but I think it might have postponed some blooming. Your hollyhocks are lovely by the way!
P.S. Maybe the crepes had something to do with altitude???
